After a considerable break - our web-site has some new updates.
In the middle of November we had a team from Calvary Chapel Joshua Springs (CA). Mutually with them our church held a little outreach and youth conference. Despite, that all team's luggage was lost in the airport and was turned back only after several days, - everything was awesome! We uploaded pictures of this event - check them!
By the end of December one of our ministers - Oleg Merkuriev - came back home from the trip to the US. Main purpose of his visit was establishing and developing connections concerning musical ministry of our church (rock-festival "Ledokol" in particular). You can find out more details about that 7 weeks trip from Oleg's article and photo gallery.
Also this year we decided to celebrate Christmas according to Gregorian calendar (rather than to old Julian calendar, which hosts Christmas on January 7). We did it in order not to allow the secular New Year celebration to steal our hearts and festive mood :o) So on Sunday, December 23, we had a special Christmas service featuring children Sunday school and youth drama team. Here you can see several pictures from this event.
We have to announce again about change of Wednesday services. Now and on they will be held at the same facility, where Sunday services take place - at Gagarin Ave. 50/6

And in conclusion let us share joyful news with you - in the end of December we will celebrate in our church a wedding of Maksim Turin and Katya Vavilova. Pray for them - for their mutual growth in Spirit as well as for the wedding ceremony arrangements.

Also we report that from now and on all Sunday services will be taking place constantly at conference hall at Gagarin Avenue.
Praise God! The Lord helped us to find a new facility. So two coming Sunday services (Spetember 9 and 16) will take place at 11.00 am by the address: Gagrin Av. 50, building 6, conference hall on the 2nd floor ("Dvorets Sporta" bus stop).
Also we would like to inform car-drivers that vehicle thoroughfare directly to the building costs 10 rubles.
Wednesday evening service for the while will be taking place at Dobrolubov museum (see previous news message below). We'll let you know if any changes occur.
We inform that today's church meeting (Wednesday, September 5) will take place in museum of Dobrolubov (Likova Damba, 2a). The map is available here.

Sadly, but the other day we were asked to vacate the facility we have been renting for Wednesday and Sunday services. We ask all of you to pray that God would help us to find another place.
This Sunday, September 2, the service will be at the former place. But in the future we would ask you to stay in touch with us concerning new location of church meetings.
At Saturday, on September 1, in the context of family ministry, our church will hold seminars on teenagers parenting. We invite everyone interested.
The event will take place at Zvezdinka St. 5, Central Children Library (porch #1) from 2 to 7 p.m. Seminars will be taught by Todd Tippin (Family Discipleship Ministries), and they are meant not only for parents but for teenagers themselves as well.

It's time of summer lull in our church now. Pastor Vlad Oplev went on vacation. The family ministry in the person of Kostya and Marianna Korenkovs is on the way to the USA with purpose of visiting churches co-ministering with us. Please pray for them. For the present Roma Borisov - the leader of men's ministry - teaches at the services.
Also we have to notify you that Debbi Bryson's women seminars planned to the end of August are canceled. However Debbi promised to come to Nizhny later. We will keep you aware.

Please be notified that next Sunday July 1 the service will be held at different place and time. Exactly at: 11.00 am, Ilynskaya St. 68a, House of Children Arts (2nd floor). This is once-only change and next Sunday and on we'll be gathering at the previous place and time.

Congratulations on Easter! Jesus is alive! We hasten to show you the pictures of Easter celebration service in our church. As usually kids from Sunday school gladdened and touched everyone with their performance.
In a week a small missionary team from High Desert Church (CA) is coming to us - just three people. Though we have called this event a spring outreach, it will be something different than usual outreach. More likely it will be a visit of old good friends - plentiful fellowship in the church, exchange of future plans, mutual prayer and a little of outreach.
And in the end of April we are expecting two guests from Calvary Chapel Joshua Springs (CA) - pastor Bob Wagner and his wife Maryann. Bob is going to teach several seminars on apologetics. Contact us if you would like to know as soon as possible more detailed information on when and where the seminars take place.

We have an important prayer request. Last week we were denied of hall rent prolongation for Sunday services. Though we have temporal facility for Sunday meetings but it's not very suitable for us. So for the present we're in quest. Please pray about it with us. And if you were going to visit us in near future stay in touch with us concerning the place for Sunday services.
But despite of facility problems the church lives its rage life. We added an article and pictures of the recent Calvary Chapel women conference that took place on February 1-3, near Moscow. About 40 women from our church visited the conference and they returned so much blessed and inspired that they organized several women meetings just to share and extend what they have experienced.
Also in the end of February we expect pastor Jackie Roberts from CC Joshua Springs (CA). He is coming to conduct several seminars (on February 23-24 and March 3) about church ministry in all its aspects. Please contact us if you want to learn the details and visit the seminars.
We are determined with days of spring outreach: April 13-23. This time a small group from High Desert Church (CA) is coming to us. Lift in prayer the way outreach will take place. Our restless youth ministry is already making some plans to "hook up" this team and "concoct" something together :o)

Check out the photo gallery about Moscow pastor conference of Calvary Chapel churches that took place from January 8 to 10. This time all who came stayed at the office of Calvary Chapel Church Planting Mission located in the countryside near Moscow. From our church not only pastor Vlad had an opportunity to go but also other ministers involved at some extent in pastor ministry. These are Kostya Korenkov (family ministry), Roma Borisov (men's ministry) and Jeremy Burrier (youth ministry).
