And at the present time church key-ministers pray for and discuss planning of other special events for coming 2007. We'd like to do so many interesting projects, but we seek God's will - where He will guide us. Please help us with your prayer.
The weekly outreach, we have had mutually with Calvary Chapel Joshua Springs, is close to the end. And as usually the Lord has been guiding and helping us despite of some problems and difficulties, despite of some new things we had never done before. And we evidently have left an imprint on youth amidst of Nizhny Novgorod. They have learnt who we are, learnt what our lives are about and what is the reason of our "abundant life". Soon we'll put a report about the outreach, of course with variety of media materials. Stay tuned!

Preparation for the coming mutual outreach of our church and Calvary Chapel Joshua Springs is almost over. Praise God - He took care of it all!
The main event of the outreach will be a Christian rock-festival "Ledokol" ("ice-breaker" or "ice-boat" in English). And the festival concerts will be on
November 10 and 11 at "Record" movie theatre
November 13 at nightclub "Rocco"
Beginning is at 6 pm. Admission free.

Also a dear brother for our church - Wade Freshour - is coming to Nizhny for a short visit. Wade was the pastor during first 5 years of our Calvary Nizhny church. And we still rip good fruits of Wade's ministry and his love to God. He is planning to meet not only with brothers and sisters from Nizhny, but with "Our Relatives" from other cities of Russia as well.

As it was promised we report - no changes of meeting places are expected in a near future. The Lord has blessed us with pretty comfortable facilities for Wednesday and Sunday services. Praise God! And in case of any alternation we'll emphasized it on our web-site.
And another news - leaders of our family ministry Kostya and Marianna Korenkovs went to Ukraine for two-weeks trip. Mutually with Family Discipleship Ministry they participate in family conferences in different churches. It's very important, significant and exciting event for them. So lift them up in your prayers.
Small, but important addition. We have determined about the place for the church services during September.
Wednesday, 6.30 pm, Zvezdinka St. 5,
the hall of Central Children Library (porch #1).
Sunday, 10.30 am, Ilynskaya St., 68a,
the hall of House of Children Arts (2nd floor).
In a month we shall give a more precise definition about where the church services take place afterwards.
We ask everyone to pray diligently for the church facility. Recently the tumbledown ceiling in the cinema-hall we rent for the services fell down. Praise God - no victims! However the hall is unusable now. We had to gather in a lobby of the movie theatre. But the September is coming and many people are getting back from the vacations, so we have to start roaming between other halls available in Nizhny. It is very uncomfortable. Nevertheless in a thick of these problems we are anticipating with joy what kind of new permanent accommodation the Lord has prepared for us. And trusting Him, we know, it will be the best for us.

Also, please, pray for the started preparation of autumn outreach. Its main event will be a Christian rock-festival we called "Ice-breaker". Hopefully this event will attract a lot of Nizhny Novgorod youth and attract it to Christ.

And how are we doing? Despite of summertime many things happen in the church.
A new director has been appointed for the cinema that we've been renting for church services. After negotiations with him we are seeking for God's answer what to do next. There is a way to improve our conditions, but there is a possibility also that we will be asked to leave. Please pray for this situation, that it would be solved, as God wants it.
This Saturday 15 people from youth ministry are going on hike. From July, 22 to August, 2 they will live in tents at Black Sea shore. Youth is excited, parents worry a little sending out their children to such long journey - so please pray for this event that it would go off well.
Also we are expecting the visit of sisters from America, who are going to hold traditional seminars and meetings for women on July, 29-31.
And probably in August there will be a lull of events in the church. Pastor Vlad and many of church ministers will be off for vacations. Roma Borisov and Kostya Korenkov will teach on services as they already had their vacations :o)
On Saturday July 1 we had a baptism retreat. Despite a cold surprise of summer weather, everything was great. Check out article and pictures about this event.

Last Sunday we had a special service dedicate to Easter ("Russian" Easter usually differs in date with "Western" one). Our "young" drama ministry played a sketch "Train to heaven" and kids from Sunday school sang a celebration song. The last number was really funny! The pictures of that special service will be put on our web-site really soon.
Also please pray for the cinema hall that our church rents. Due to the recent snow melting part of the ceiling plaster is falling down. Probably the Lord has prepared a better accommodation for us - who knows...

The preparation for the spring outreach has begun. This time it will be a little bit different - without large team of Americans and loud rock-concerts. In the beginning of May mutually with "Jesus Film Ministry" of Calvary Chapel Joshua Springs (CA) we plan to show "Jesus" film in several towns of Nizhny region. These will be Doskino, Zavolzhie (mutually with local Baptist church) and Navashino (mutually with Calvary Chapel Murom). Mostly this outreach will be realized by our youth ministry. Technical support will be provided by two brothers from "Jesus Film Ministry", who will come here to help us. Please pray for this special "wide-reaching" event.
Several updates are added to our web-site: Christmas celebration (sorry for the delay - it's spring out there) and Moscow women's è men's conferences of Calvary Chapel churches.

Next week we're having special guests - known for many of us Brad Orchard from High Desert Church and also Jerel Hagerman - pastor of Calvary Chapel Joshua Springs. After meeting Vlad in the States in the end of last year Jerel and his church wanted to co-operate closely with our church. That's why Jerel decided to come to Nizhny - to see personally how we live and to discuss next steps of our mutual ministry.
Our last events are women's and men's annual Moscow conferences of Calvary Chapel Churches. The first one took place on January 30 - February 1 and about 40 sisters from our church went to the conference. The second one - for men - will be very soon on February 15-17. And approximately 20 brothers are coming. We shall definitely narrate about these big events on our web-site! Stay tuned!
Last Sunday on January 8 there was a special service dedicated to Christmas (in Russia it's celebrated on January 7). Children with their Christmas song brought a lot of joy. Adults in their turn showed short Christmas play with a scary name "If Christ wouldn't have come..." All this - as photos and videos - will be available for you to see at our web-site soon.
Also we would like to ask you to pray about the church facility. The administrator of the cinema-hall where all our services take place notified us that possibly in two month they wouldn't be able to host us anymore. This situation is unclear yet, but it's time to get praying from now and on. The Lord is faithful and powerful! He won't leave His children without a house.
